The Cloudflare global platform secures and ensures the reliability of external-facing resources such as websites, APIs, and applications, and protects internal resources such as behind-the-firewall applications, teams, and devices.

EdgeConneX is proud to partner with Cloudflare to offer those solutions along with the Cloudflare Network Interconnect (CNI) solution from multiple EdgeConneX data centers worldwide. As part of the Cloudflare One platform, CNI customers can connect offices and data center directly to Cloudflare via a Private Network Interconnect (PNI) or an Internet Exchange in the fastest, most secure, and cost-effective way.

CNI plus Magic Transit delivers DDoS protection and traffic acceleration from every Cloudflare data center — protecting a customer’s network and delivering clean traffic over CNI in any Cloudflare deployed EdgeConneX data center. Clean traffic is routed over Cloudflare’s network for optimal latency and throughput and can be handed-off over private network interconnects (PNI), Generic Routing Encapsulation (GRE) tunnels, or other forms of peering to the customer network.

Better Performance: With no intermediary transit providers and associated hops between Cloudflare and your network, you get faster performance

Improved Security: Each provisioned link is reserved exclusively for the customer that provisions it, ensuring customer traffic is isolated and private

Lower Costs: Customers can benefit from reduced transit provider costs and when using Cloudflare CDN, in some cases, lower egress costs in the event of cache-miss
