The People Behind the Progress: Spotlighting the Faces of Sustainability at EdgeConneX

April 8, 2026

Guided by our Planet in Progress theme, we’re focused on turning sustainability commitments into tangible actions that move our planet and our communities forward. Sustainability isn’t just a set of goals, it’s collective action. It’s driven by the people, partnerships, and innovations that turn commitment into real‑world progress. As part of Earth Month 2026, we’re spotlighting some of the individuals helping bring our environmental priorities to life and demonstrating how everyday efforts can make a lasting difference. These are the stories behind the progress, shaped by action, accountability, and a shared commitment to a more sustainable future.

Haley Willis Chittick – Leading Environmental Compliance and Water Stewardship

As Senior Manager of Environmental Sustainability & Compliance, Haley plays a pivotal role in advancing our global environmental initiatives. From achieving Zero Waste to Landfill certifications in Amsterdam, Brussels, Jakarta, and Santiago to leading the Waterplan Hidden Valley Ranch water replenishment project and the Kilimo water stewardship platform advancing science-based irrigation optimization in Chile, Haley’s work ensures that sustainability is embedded into every aspect of our operations.

“Environmental stewardship is about more than compliance, it’s about creating measurable, lasting impact,” Haley says. “Whether it’s reducing waste or restoring water resources, I’m proud to be part of a team that’s making a real difference.”

Andrew Brodeur – Aligning Operations, Infrastructure, and Sustainability

As Vice President of National Real Estate, Andrew provides the leadership needed to integrate sustainability into EdgeConneX fundamental business practices. He oversees teams responsible for property management, power, and sustainability, ensuring that environmental goals are closely tied to the performance and development of our facilities. “Sustainability works best when it’s embedded into core operations,” Andrew notes. “When teams collaborate across disciplines, we create opportunities to improve performance while supporting long-term environmental goals.”

Connor O’Connell – Integrating Sustainability into the Supply Chain

Sustainability starts with the decisions we make about the products, materials, and partners we work with. Connor, a member of our Procurement department and Sustainability Team, ensures that sustainability considerations are integrated into sourcing decisions across the business.

“Sustainability in procurement is about thinking upstream,” Connor says. “The choices we make with suppliers can influence everything from waste generation to carbon footprint. When we work with partners who share these goals, the impact multiplies.” Connor’s work helps embed sustainability directly into the supply chain, from evaluating environmentally responsible materials to supporting vendor sustainability initiatives.

Todd Cheney & Laura Godschalx – Connecting Sustainability to Business Strategy

Within our Finance team, Todd and Laura ensure that sustainability initiatives are supported by the financial frameworks needed to advance them. Todd focuses on climate-related financial risk reporting, translating environmental risks into insights that inform long-term business planning.

“Sustainability increasingly plays a role in how companies plan, invest, and communicate with financial partners,” Todd notes. Laura works with lenders and stakeholders to align sustainability goals with financing structures, manage sustainability-linked KPIs, and support green bond frameworks. “Finance helps translate environmental commitments into measurable business outcomes,” Laura adds.

Reliable data is essential to improving sustainability performance. Josette, a member of the Power and Sustainability team, tracks and manages energy and emissions data, supporting initiatives like greenhouse gas reporting and Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) improvements. “Good sustainability decisions start with good data,” Josette notes. “When we have a clear picture of how our facilities are performing, we can focus on the areas where improvements will make the biggest impact.”

Phillip Marangella & Vanessa Eixman – Sharing Our Sustainability Story

Communicating sustainability efforts authentically is just as important as the work itself. Phillip and Vanessa from our Marketing team ensure that EdgeConneX environmental initiatives are shared transparently and meaningfully with customers, partners, and communities. “Sustainability is an important part of our story,” Phillip says. “Our role in marketing is to communicate that work in a way that is authentic and aligned with the impact we’re striving to make.”

Vanessa adds, “By turning our sustainability team’s efforts into clear stories, we connect their initiatives to the bigger picture, reminding us that our collective actions lead to meaningful global impact.”

Our dedicated sustainability team knows that for us, sustainability is not a destination. It’s the way we build.
