EdgeConneX celebrated the grand opening of its Indonesia Data Center campus on September 13, 2023, marking a significant milestone in the company’s expansion across Asia Pacific. Over 120 distinguished guests, including industry leaders, government officials, and esteemed dignitaries, attended the highly anticipated event.
The ceremony highlighted the pivotal role of EdgeConneX in Indonesia’s digital evolution and its commitment to fostering sustainable economic growth and technological innovation in the region. Guest of honor, Coordinating Minister of Maritime Affairs and Investment of Indonesia, Mr. Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, emphasized the critical significance of the EdgeConneX Data Center Campus, framing it as a cornerstone of Indonesia’s future digital landscape. Minister Luhut also outlined Indonesia’s multifaceted digitalization goals, including industrialization, decarbonization, economic distribution, interconnection, digitalization, and education. These goals are all essential components driving the nation’s Vision 2045 initiative, aimed at improving living standards, driving economic growth, and increasing global competitiveness.
The Acting Regent of Bekasi, Dr. H Dani Ramdan MT, also attended the event and stressed the strategic significance of EdgeConneX presence in Bekasi Regency. Dr. Ramdan recognized EdgeConneX as a catalyst for innovation and sustainable economic development, envisioning the data center provider as a crucial infrastructure supporting digital transformation across the archipelago.
