With a focus on helping veterans globally, EdgeConneX launched two programs designed to honor veterans working at EdgeConneX and bring awareness to the opportunities for veterans and veteran spouses within the data center industry: EdgeConneX Salutes and For Veterans By Veterans. We proudly announce that these initiatives have been shortlisted for the Capacity Media 2023 Global Carrier Awards, Best Diversity & Inclusion Initiative. This prestigious award recognizes initiatives changing the world in the environmental, societal, and government spheres.
Both EdgeConneX programs celebrate the many talented veterans who play essential roles in EdgeConneX success. Their exceptional skills, including critical thinking, adaptability, teamwork, passion for excellence, discipline, and precision, are ideally suited for the data center space. That’s precisely why EdgeConneX actively recruits ex-military members and works collaboratively with our long-standing partner, Salute Mission Critical, an organization instrumental in training and placing 
veterans into skilled positions and rewarding careers within data centers across the globe. As a result, highly qualified individuals from the global military community work across EdgeConneX data centers in critical roles, including engineering, operations, facilities, property management, security, service delivery, solutions architecture, and account management.
These veterans come from different backgrounds, countries, cultures, and military missions and utilize those unique experiences to collectively deliver superior EdgeConneX data center and infrastructure services globally. All are focused on exceptional customer support and building the data centers of tomorrow with the same military precision they honed during their service to their countries.
