Ashville OH Energy Center

EdgeConneX Powers the AI Revolution Sustainably

We are leading the way toward sustainable growth, specializing in building bespoke, hyperscale data centers for the world.

Project Summary

The proposed facility, PowerConneX Ashville Energy Center project is a natural gas fired power generation facility located in Pickaway County, Ohio.

The facility will be sited on approximately 110 acres and have a maximum total generating capacity of up to ~800 Megawatt. The purpose of the facility is to provide power using natural gas fired equipment that will serve as a primary source of electricity to a data center on the same site.

Project Status

The project filed it’s application with the Ohio Power Siting Board (OPSB) on 12th May, 2026.

Project Benefits

  1. Significant Support for Schools and Children: The project delivers sustained school revenue to fund new technology for education, ensuring that Teays Valley students aren’t left behind and have the tools, skills, and opportunities to succeed long-term.
  2. Strengthened Village of Ashville Tax Base: The project will provide funding to pay for mandatory village infrastructure upgrades.
  3. No Negative Visual, Sound, or Environmental Impacts: The campus uses extensive landscaping, berms, setbacks, and architectural screening so the project has very low to no visual or sound impact on surrounding homes and road.
  4. Power Sources and Farmland Preservation: By choosing to develop a behind-the-meter natural gas generation facility instead of using solar panels, we preserve thousands of acres of farmland — safeguarding one of Ohio’s key resources and respecting the region’s agricultural heritage.
