We believe our role extends far beyond providing data center solutions; we strive to be good neighbors in the communities in which we operate. By engaging with local organizations, participating in meaningful initiatives, and contributing to programs that make a difference, we’re committed to creating a positive and lasting impact.
As part of our commitment to Atlanta, Georgia, and the surrounding areas of our Atlanta data centers, our team has been actively engaging with local organizations, charities, and events. Here’s a closer look at how we’ve been supporting the community this summer.
In July, we proudly participated in Union City’s annual “Light Up the Night and Back to School Bash“. EdgeConneX provided funding to purchase backpacks and school supplies for local children and teens, ensuring they’re ready for the upcoming school year. The event welcomed special guest Mayor Vince Williams of Union City and featured an array of music, carnival-themed games and rides, illuminated activations, and delicious food.
“Light Up the Night is more than a festival—it’s a reflection of Union City’s vibrant spirit and growing sense of community. Each year, The City Council and I are proud to offer this extraordinary evening of connection, creativity, and celebration for our residents.” – Mayor Vince Williams – Mayor of Union City, GA
The event ended with a spectacular light show and was a tremendous success. We’re proud to be part of this vibrant and fast-growing community!
Safety Net to Those in Need
Our efforts didn’t stop there. Alongside our partner BCEI, we volunteered with Feeding GA Families (FGaF) at their Soul of the South / Back to School event. As an impactful local food bank, Feeding GA Families provides essential services, including fresh produce, pantry staples, and household supplies, to those in need. The event featured a farmers’ market by Concrete Jungle, telehealth registration, hot lunches, games, and even a raffle for a new children’s bed. This dedicated group organizes ‘pop-ups’ throughout Union City and Fulton County to provide food and essential items directly to those in need.
FGaF consistently finds innovative ways to serve the community, offering housing assistance, workforce development, and even offering a DoorDash delivery service to supply fresh produce, food, and basic household necessities to those in need.
“We want to make sure our food pantries are inclusive to anyone in need of assistance, so we offer vegan plant-based options and account for allergy and dietary restrictions. We strive to minimize food waste as much as possible, so we also compost food, which is then distributed to our local, small-scale farmers. Our food programs have evolved from offering Monday pantries to delivering direct-to-home services. We now serve 5000+ families per month and aim to ensure that we are that safety net to help families in need.” – Alicia Rivera, Co-Founder and CFO – Feeding GA Families
