The proposed facility, the PowerConneX New Albany Energy Center, project is a natural gas fired power generation facility located in New Albany, Licking County, Ohio.
The facility will be sited on approximately 48.6 acres and have a maximum total generating capacity of up to 120 megawatts. The purpose of the facility is to provide power using natural gas fired equipment that will serve as a primary source of electricity to a data center on the same site.
PowerConneX received its certificate authorizing construction of the project from the Ohio Power Sitting Board on July 22, 2025 (Case No. 25-90-EL-BLN).
Construction started in September 2025. Anticipate reaching commercial operations as early as Q3 2026.
Construction of the facility commenced in September 2025. The New Albany Energy Center is scheduled to reach operations by Q3 2026.
